performances of all types. Theater is also alive and well in Paris
from the grandeur of Comédie Français to slapstick farce and avant-garde
drama.
Paris has been known to play host to visiting companies and
it attracts many foreign productions, usually in their original

is September to July. National
theaters close in August, but many independents remain open. |
